The euro, code EUR, is shared by countries in the euro area. A destination in Europe does not automatically mean the payment is in euros, so check the currency on the invoice, booking or recipient's instructions first.
For a holiday budget, convert the costs you already know, such as accommodation and transport, before estimating daily spending. For a bill with an exact euro amount, work backward from that amount to understand how much of your own currency you may need. The calculator provides a reference before provider charges.
If you will make several payments, keep the dates and amounts separate. A quote for today's deposit does not set the price of a later balance. When choosing a transfer service, confirm the destination country, account details and received currency, then compare the final amount paid and delivered.
