Current reference rates
Current reference prices come directly from biquote to your browser. We use the midpoint between the buying and selling quotes from its MetaTrader 5 (Broker 1) source. These are indicative broker prices; a transfer provider gives you its own final quote.
We check the currencies needed on your page every 15 seconds while the tab is visible. Each currency keeps its own source timestamp. Missing, closed-market, invalid or old quotes are unavailable; other healthy pairs keep working. Coverage can change during the day.
The currency directory includes currencies that may have historical information without a current quote. Daily values never replace a missing current rate. This free source does not promise continuous availability or coverage for every currency.
Read the provider documentationDaily historical observations
The 1W, 1M, 3M and 1Y charts and daily history tables use Frankfurter’s daily reference observations. These combine published central-bank and official-source data using Frankfurter’s method.
Charts show actual dated observations. They are separate from the current converter and can differ from an intraday market rate or a provider’s transfer quote.
Missing dates remain missing observations. Historical values can be revised by their sources.

Up to 60 seconds old
Every quote needed for this pair is within our live window.
Over 60, up to 120 seconds
The rate stays visible with a delayed label while we check for a newer snapshot.
Too old, missing or invalid
The current calculation clears. We keep your inputs ready for the next successful update.
The past 24 hours, observation by observation.
The 1D chart is not available with the current browser feed. We do not relay or archive biquote’s raw prices through a ForexRates API. The longer chart periods show daily historical observations.
From one currency to another.
For a pair such as EUR to GBP, we combine the two quotes through USD. Their source times can differ; the pair uses the age of the older quote. We keep the midpoint, inverses and conversion as exact fractions, then round the final amount using the currency’s standard decimal places.
A reference, then a quote.
The converter helps you understand value. A transfer provider’s final quote also depends on your amount, fees, payment method and delivery conditions. Checking or saving a rate here does not reserve an exchange.
